I lead Investor Relations and Portfolio Finance for Venture Highway.
I have 17+ years of experience working with global Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds like Accel, Atomico, and Actis across India and the UK. I have led Finance, Valuations, Deal Execution, Portfolio Monitoring, Fundraising and Fund structuring in my previous roles. I have also worked with a few Indian start-ups as a CFO to help them fundraise and operationalise finance functions.
I am a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, B.Com (Hons) from Delhi University and have also completed an Advanced Valuations course from INSEAD, France.
why seed investing
Like most Chartered Accountants, I was also working with a Big 4 when I got introduced to the world of PE fortuitously. PE was nascent at the time and offered an exciting opportunity filled with new learnings. As I gained global exposure and broadened my worldview, I found my true calling in India-focused VC Funds.
Being only ~20 years old, I believe the Indian VC industry offers immense opportunities to incoming founders, investors and ecosystem enablers. When we pitch the opportunity of being a part of a 0 to 1 journey in Indian startups to potential investors, we invite them to embrace the next decade, characterized by resilient growth, a positive economic outlook, tech disruptions along with a capital efficient mindset.
In my role, I truly enjoy strategic thinking, embracing diverse perspectives and forging meaningful relationships - with Investors and Founders. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant ecosystem, fearless founders, and scale of the opportunity, I aspire to be a positive catalyst, contributing a small yet meaningful part to the grand vision.
